Jesus warned that an unprecedented deterioration of race relations would be an end-time sorrow signaling His imminent return. In Matthew 24:7, our Lord predicted that the last days would be characterized by "nation [rising] against nation." The Greek word for "nation" in this verse is "ethnos," which is the Greek word from which we get our English words "ethnic" and "ethnicity." Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as well as President Trump’s top adviser on matters related to the coronavirus, predicted in a CNN interview that if and when a coronavirus vaccine is developed all Americans may be forced to carry papers verifying their immunization. 

In response to a reporter’s question about whether or not Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, was seeking to create a national coronavirus database and tracking system for patients who’ve been diagnosed with the coronavirus, President Trump said, “It doesn’t sound like a bad idea actually.” He later added, “It sounds very scientific.”

A church building in Mississippi was burnt down by arsonists for holding church services in defiance of stay at home orders. The arsonists, who were obviously spelling bee dropouts, also left graffiti in the parking lot denouncing the church faithful as "hypokrits." 

At another Mississippi church, churchgoers were given $500 fines for attending a drive-in church service, while a drive-in Sonic 200 yards down the road had 25 cars. 

In Kentucky, churchgoers were warned that police would take their license plate numbers so that they could be sentenced to 14 days under house arrest for attending church. 

In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo has vowed that churches will be among the last things ............

President Trump has initiated what he calls “Operation Warp-Speed.” According to him, this presidential initiative is not only “big” and “fast,” but it is also “a massive scientific, industrial and logistical endeavor unlike anything our country has seen since the Manhattan Project.” The objective is, as our president has personally stated, “To finish developing and then manufacture and distribute a proven coronavirus vaccine as fast as possible.” “We’d love to see it if we can,” our president optimistically opines, “prior to the end of the year.”

The unemployment rate amid the coronavirus crisis has officially reached the highest level since the Great Depression. According to the Labor Department, 20.5 million jobs were lost in April and the unemployment rate climbed to 14.7 percent. This staggering report shows that a decade of job gains have been wiped out in just one month. 

Bank of America economist Michelle Meyer recently told CNBC, ”This is the biggest and most acute shock that we've seen in post-war history.” In addition, economists at J.P. Morgan are forebodingly forecasting that unemployment will eventually climb as high as 20%.
