Roman Catholicism is baptized paganism. When Constantine converted the Roman Empire at the point of his sword, the Christian church was overrun by pagans, who brought the baggage of their pagan religions into the church with them. Being unable to dissuade the pagans to discontinue the practice of their pagan religions and observance of their religious rituals, the Christian clergy incorporated paganism into Christianity. By covering pagan practices and observances with a thin Christian veneer, the Christian clergy baptized paganism and gave birth to what we know today as Roman Catholicism.
Roman Catholicism is both a false religion and an apostate church. It preaches a false gospel and teaches false doctrines. It is also led by a ...

A long time ago in a place far away a country prophet walked the dusty roads of ancient Palestine. His followers were for the most part a ragtag band of social misfits. Behind Him lay a trail of awed adorers, vicious critics, and curious masses. Before Him lay the uncertain prospect of triumph or the more probable possibility of tragedy.
This itinerate’s ministry abruptly ended when he was arrested by the religious leaders of His day. They tried and convicted Him of no less heinous a crime than blasphemy. After all, He had made Himself equal with God by claiming to be God’s Son. He even had the audacity to vow He would prove His outlandish claim to divinity by rising from the dead. For this reason, the religious leaders...

According to the Apostle Paul, the whole of our Christian faith hinges on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. “If Christ be not risen,” Paul writes, “then is our preaching vain, and our faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found to be false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up” (1 Corinthians 15:14-15). Paul goes on to add that without Christ’s resurrection we are still “in our sins,” our loved ones who have “fallen asleep in Christ are perished” and “we are of all men most miserable” (1 Corinthians 15:17-19).
When Christ died on the cross He did more than just die for our sins; according to the Scripture, He...

The Bible plainly teaches us that Christ was crucified the day before the Sabbath (Mark 15:42-45; Luke 23:50-56; John 19:30-42). This leads us to conclude that Christ was crucified on a Friday, since the Jewish Sabbath is on Saturday, the seventh day of the week. This also explains our world's annual observance of Good Friday, the Friday before Easter Sunday, as the day when Christ was crucified.
The Bible also teaches us that our Lord rose from the dead on Sunday, the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1-8; Mark 16:1-6; Luke 24:1-9; John 20:1-9, 19- 20). This explains why the early church met to worship on Sunday and why Sunday eventually became known as the “Lord’s Day” (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2; ...

The cross is recognized worldwide as the emblem of Christianity. However, it is really an empty tomb that lies at the heart of the Christian faith. Christianity owes its uniqueness to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. All the tombs of all the founders of all world religions are occupied, with one notable exception, the tomb of Christ, which is empty!
Many have attempted to disprove the profound truth of the empty tomb with many untenable arguments. Some simply allege that it’s a mere fabrication. Yet, there is more historical evidence to substantiate the resurrection of Jesus Christ than there is to substantiate the existence of Julius Caesar or Napoleon’s defeat at Waterloo. While no one doubts the existence of Julius ...

Just beneath the surface of today's tempest over tariffs are tremendous troubles that are tearing at the fabric of our representative republic, threatening to rip it apart. First, let's face some facts about tariffs. To begin with, they are nothing new. Before 1913, when the 16th Amendment to our Constitution was ratified, which legalized the income tax, tariffs were our country’s chief source of income. Although Trump is being accused of starting a trade war with his reciprocal tariffs, we've been in a losing trade war over tariffs for decades. While other countries have taken unfair advantage of us with their high tariffs and unfair trade practices, both our friends and our foes, we've allowed them to do so by our ...
