As I wrote yesterday, you could have had last night’s presidential debate without Donald Trump. Kamala Harris could have debated herself, since she has repeatedly contradicted herself by staking out the opposite ends of almost every issue. It would have been most entertaining and enlightening to hear Kamala explain her slew of self-contradictions. However, the moderators of the debate were careful to keep her feet far from the fire of her personal and preposterous paradoxes. On the other hand, I must honestly admit, that Donald Trump didn’t need an opponent in last night’s debate either, since he, as always, proved to be his own worst enemy. Trump is so undisciplined in debates that he always ends up thrashing himself to death with his own untamed tongue. Last night was no exception. All it took to turn Trump into a childish schoolyard name-caller was a couple of pokes at his gigantic ego. To say that Kamala got under his skin is an understatement; it’s more like she got him to skin himself on live TV before millions of people. In the end, she walked off the stage cackling and Trump skint. 

Now, having opined about the obvious, permit me to point out the unpopular; namely, that America is already under the judgment of God. The fact that our doom is sealed and our destruction inevitable, is made incontrovertible by the fact that our only real choice for president is a knave or a narcissist. Our ship of state is suddenly sailing, with full sails hoisted, into a perfect storm, whipped up against us by the wrath of God. If you don’t believe me, just consider the following. 

First, the Republican Party, especially the GOP establishment, despite its contempt for Donald Trump, actually created the political phenomenon of Donald Trump. The conservative base of the Party got so sick and tired of being betrayed and backstabbed by RINOs that it rebelled against run-of-the-mill Republicans and threw its support behind a most unorthodox and populist candidate for president. This led not only to the birth of the MAGA Movement, but also to Donald Trump’s surprising election to the presidency in 2016. Yet, his whole presidency was continuously undermined by the bureaucratic state, the Democratic Party, the GOP establishment, and even foreign adversaries, like China, all of whom saw Trump as a serious threat to their future existence. 

Trump ended up so demonized by the Donald-haters, especially by their propagandists in the press, that it spawned a pandemic of Trump Derangement Syndrome. This led to Trump losing the presidency to the worst presidential candidate in American history, Joe Biden, a cognitively impaired old man who ran for president from his basement, to keep his senility a secret from the American electorate. Now, it is important to note at this point that Joe Biden was not elected to the presidency because so many Americans found him so appealing, but because so many Americans found Donald Trump so appalling. 

No one has ever done more for the Democratic Party, nor been of more help to it in its obtaining and maintaining of dictatorial power over our lives, than Donald Trump. Whether you’re willing to admit it or not, Americans didn’t go to the polls by the millions to vote for Joe Biden in 2020, but to vote against Donald Trump. No one nor nothing has ever motivated the Democratic base like Donald Trump, neither has anyone ever swung more swing states toward Democrats and away from Republicans. Granted, it’s unintentional on Trump’s part, but he is, much to his own chagrin, the best thing that ever happened to Democrats, since they can get away with anything as long as Trump is seen as America’s only alternative to their absolutely disastrous and destructive policies. As frightening as it is to face, the majority of Americans would rather see our country trashed than a few mean tweets from Donald Trump.

It is my personal belief that Kamala Harris is no more popular with our populace than Joe Biden. After all, she has been Biden’s partner in crime for the last three and a half years, committing one treasonous transgression after another against our country. The question, however, is whether or not she is more unlikable and loathsome in the eyes of the majority of Americans than Donald Trump. If not, she will in all probability win the presidency this coming November, on the sole basis of being less loathed than “Orange Man Bad.”  

If Harris wins, simply because Trump is more intolerable to voters than she is, just imagine what our country will look like four years from now. How much more will we resemble a Third World country, with more illegal immigrants invading our land by the millions? How much more will our representative republic resemble a banana republic, with the continuing and increasing weaponization of our justice system against all political opponents of those in power? How much more will we resemble a socialist state or communist country, with our constitutional rights being further revoked and our government seizing increasing control over everything in our lives, including our economy and livelihoods? And how much closer to bankruptcy will we be brought by our ever-increasing national debt and our government’s continued doling out of trillions of dollars to its millions of dependents? 

Make no mistake about it, what you really saw on that debate stage last night was a pair of politicians being used by God to bring His judgment upon our Christ-rejecting nation. Neither of them can save America nor make America great again. Our great days are long gone and our destruction fast approaching. As the Bible predicts, our ruin is inevitable, because it is from our ruins that the beastly end-time world power will rise, which will spearhead this fallen world’s final all-out-war on God’s people, both His chosen people—Israel and the Jews—and His elect people—the church and Christians. It’s high time, as the ancient Prophet Amos proclaimed, for you to prepare to meet your God, because, as the Apostle Peter declared, the end of all things is at hand (Amos 4:12; 1 Peter 4:7). According to Peter, it’s time for you to be sound-minded, which means less concerned about your polling place and far more concerned about your prayer closet, where you need to be giving yourself continually to serious prayer.
