Although the absolute lunacy of today’s liberals is laughable, it is no laughing matter, since millions of Americans fanatically embrace it. What’s currently happening in our country reminds me of some haunting words written long ago by William Shirer. In his classic book, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, Shirer writes about the lunacy of Adolf Hitler, saying that any “normal mind” could have easily discerned that Hitler’s “Weltanschauung”—world view—was “a grotesque hodgepodge concocted by a half-baked, uneducated neurotic.” However, Shirer goes on to add “that it was [inexplicably] embraced so fanatically by so many millions of Germans” that it led “to their ultimate ruin,” as well as “to the ruin of millions of innocent, decent human beings outside Germany.” I fear we are on a similar slippery slope of fanatical derangement in today’s America that will lead us, as well as millions of others outside of our country, to ultimate destruction?
