Your government is not your friend, but your foe. It no longer seeks to serve you, but to subjugate you. Far from performing, as designed by our Founders, its constitutional role of protecting and preserving our God-given and inalienable rights, our government is now suspending them and usurping the place of God when it comes to our rights. It has made itself, not God, the final arbiter of our rights and freedoms, deciding who gets them, when and where they may be granted, and to what degree they may be exercised. Of course, our government justifies its lordship over us by promising salvation to us. According to our new lord and savior, our government, if we'll blindly obey its dictates, it will save us from every danger, such as climate change and the coronavirus pandemic.

Climate change has always been the ace up our government's sleeve in its attempt to trump our God-given and inalienable rights. By persuading us that our planet is doomed to soon become a smoldering ember and all of us little charcoaled briquets, our government has hoped to scare us into turning minute control of our lives over to Washington DC. However, despite its all-out-attempt to scare us with its Doomsday Clock, as well as to shame us with Greta Thornberg, many Americans have refused to subjugate themselves to government oppression over holes in the ozone.

Where climate change had fallen short in subjugating us to our government, the coronavirus pandemic stepped in and picked up the slack. Overnight tyranny came to America! Our government suspended our Constitution, revoked our God-given and inalienable rights, usurped control over our lives and livelihoods, locked down our economy, locked us up in our houses, and shutdown our businesses, workplaces, schools, and churches. Most amazing of all, however, was how the American people instantly surrendered to government subjugation without shrugging a shoulder or batting an eye. The peddled panic of a climate crisis may not have cowered our citizenry into capitulation, but the peddled panic of a public health crisis did. It so intimidated us that we immediately scurried right into the iron hand of our iron-fisted government.

Now that our government has learned that it can push us with panic over a public health crisis into cowering in a corner under its iron-fisted control, it is suddenly coming up with more "public health crises" than you can shake a stick at. For instance, our President, in an effort to suspend our Second Amendment rights, as well as to keep us scaredy-cats from raising an eyebrow over him doing so, is now calling "gun violence" a "public health crisis." Likewise, our government's Center for Disease Control (CDC), which has served as its chief doomsday prophet over the coronavirus pandemic, is now calling "racism" a "serious public health threat.” Just think about the implications of this. If, as we’re repeatedly told today, racism is systemic, then, “serious public health threats” are everywhere and in everything. If that don’t cause cowering America to bite its nails and chatter its teeth, I don’t know what will.  

Tragically, America has ceased to be the land of the free and the home of the brave. Instead, it has become the land of the fettered and a giant litter box for scaredy-cats, who wet and soil themselves every time Big Brother says Boo! Now that our government has found our breaking point, it will use it to bully and keep us under its tyrannical control. Everything will now be called a “public health crisis,” since Big Brother knows this is the bogeyman we most fear. By continually raising this most scary specter, our government hopes to keep us under subjugation. The question is: Will we be scared and stupid enough to fall for it?
