To truly love our country is to deplore our present-day government, which has become the greatest detriment and danger to our country’s future. It makes no difference which party is in power, both are working to undermine our rights and freedoms, as well as to gain ever-increasing control over our lives.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority.” Indeed, it was our Founding Fathers’ revolt against tyrannical government and overtaxation that resulted in the American Revolution and the birth of America. Furthermore, our Founding Fathers inscribed in the Declaration of Independence our right to overthrow our own government if it ever ceases to fulfill its God-ordained role of protecting and preserving our God-given and unalienable rights. But alas, there’s not a revolutionary to be found in today’s America, only docile sheep being led to slaughter by political hirelings.

Before you dismiss my diatribe as the drivel of a deranged dissident, consider with me some incontrovertible facts concerning our country’s current healthcare crisis. To begin with, Democrats passed the Affordable Care Act, better known as ObamaCare, without bothering to even read the legislation. Not knowing what was in it, they had no way of knowing whether it was good or bad for our country, which proves they didn’t really care one way or the other. The only thing they cared about was creating another entitlement program that would increase government dependency and give them more control over the lives of the governed.

Republicans, having gained control of the White House and of both houses of Congress, thanks in no small part to their promise to repeal and replace ObamaCare, have failed to do either. In fact, their pretentious proposals to repeal and replace ObamaCare are proven upon close examination to be nothing more than revisions of it. Whereas they may tweak it a bit, they do absolutely nothing to do away with it, which proves Republicans, just like Democrats, want this new entitlement program, as well as its inevitable consequences—our increased dependence upon government and government’s increased control over our lives.

Having created a healthcare crisis in America, our government is now being looked to by its citizenry to deliver us from the very crisis it has created. As any student of political science knows, there is no better or more opportune time to seize tyrannical control over a people than in a time of crisis. As President Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, once told the Wall Street Journal, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.” According to Emamuel, the financial crisis of  2008 provided the Obama Administration with an opportunity to do things; such as, nationalize financial institutions and corporations, that the federal government could have never done before.

Do you believe that our country’s healthcare crisis was unintentionally created by Democrats? Do you believe our country’s healthcare crisis is being unintentionally perpetuated by Republicans? Or is it possible that both Democrats and Republicans have acted and are acting with deliberate and diabolical intent? Have they both orchestrated and perpetuated a healthcare crisis in order to institute socialized medicine in America, realizing that we will be receptive to what we once thought repulsive now that our healthcare is a risk?

While we’re still stuck in the throes of ObamaCare, thanks to Republicans refusal to tweak it a little with TrumpCare, we’re now being introduced to BernieCare. Senator Bernie Sanders, who, unlike other Democrats, proudly and publicly professes to be a socialist, has introduced a healthcare bill that will not only do away with private healthcare in these United States, but replace it with socialized medicine. That’s right, you heard me correctly; Sanders, along with a growing and substantial number of Democrats, are now publicly demanding what they’ve always privately desired and deviously attempted to perpetrate; namely, government run healthcare. This unprecedented government power grab to gain control of our healthcare would have been laughable a few years ago, but suddenly it’s not funny anymore, but being taken most seriously. For instance, the former chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Max Baucus, recently said that the time has come in America for single-payer healthcare. He went on to compare our government’s takeover of our healthcare to our government’s legalization of same-sex marriage. According to Senator Baucus, what was anathema in yesterday’s America can suddenly find acceptance in today’s America.

As my book, Speak Now or Forever Hold your Peace: The Compelling Arguments Against Same-Sex Marriage, plainly pointed out, the legalization of same-sex marriage was not about civil rights for homosexuals, but about social Marxists coopting the coercive powers of government to silence the witness of the Church of Jesus Christ in our country. Likewise, socialized medicine is not really about healthcare, but all about the transformation of America into a socialist state. Once our government gains control of our healthcare, thanks in no small part to its creation of our current healthcare crisis, there will be no stopping of our government from becoming a socialist regime ruling over our lives.

I understand that this voice of mine in the wilderness of this fallen world is often infuriating to my fellow Americans, as well as to my fellow evangelicals. I believe the reason so many get so mad at what I say is they can’t refute it, but feel they must deny it, simply because they can’t face it. Still, I’m compelled to continue to cry out in the wilderness of this world, regardless of cost and consequence to myself. Like a former wilderness voice, I too feel called by God to warn men to prepare for the Coming of Christ, whose Second Coming is definitely proven imminent by the unprecedented happenings and snowballing socialism in today’s America.
